Out and about....Crispin St

From Fashionistable
I would say the location for today's shot is probably one of the most iconic in Spitalfields. It is certainly on of my favourites and it takes a lot not to drag everyone over to this spot to take pictures. It is wonderful that the owners keep the brilliant old painted shop front.
Louie is both a model and a visual merchandiser. When I asked him for his favourite place in London. He said "it must be Shorditch, well at least it the place I spend most of my time". His surprise for us is that he used to play football for Luton. Saying that even he finds that surprising now. I couldn't help asking him to tell me the story behind his magnificent moustache. He grew it 2 years ago for Movember, although he only managed to raise £1 for his efforts back then he has kept it going since.
Louie is wearing a Coat and trousers from French Connection, a shirt he bought in a market in Barcelona, Primark socks and Dr Martin shoes.

Vicky is from Shang Dong in China and is an artist. When I saw her she had a lovely air of happiness about her. It was great to watch. When I asked her the questions I ask it became evident why. Her style influence she says is spirit energy. She likes to imagine the city as a forest. For Vicky meditation is essential, especially under a tree and she says it influences your energy more and helps you get back to nature.. Her 2 favourite places in London are the British Museum and the SOAS Library. The 1st drawing is one of Vicky's artworks (she doesnt have her work online)the 2nd is one of her boyfriends which she sent in her 1st email to me after we met. There is a great feeling of movement in it. Vicky is wearing a hat and coat she bought at Barnet Fair, her boots are Kenzo, necklace All Saints, bag COS and her umbrella is from China.

Benjamin works in international sales for a German company. He had 2 surprises for us, one was that he made a book when he was 7 called Big Max and the second is that his uncle is Neville Staple from The Specials. Here he is wearing a coat he had made bespoke when he was in China, a shirt bought on the Brighton Lanes, Topman pocket square and trousers, Uniqlo cardy, shoes bought in Spitalfields, Prada glasses and is carrying a Hugo Boss bag. It was his idea to do the back shot. I think it makes a great edition to the series.

Louise has just graduated in Illustration and is deciding what's next. We met just after she had been to see the D&AD student competition exhibition in Spitalfields. Spitalfields also happens to be her favourite place in the city. Her style influences are designers like Raf Simons, old TV shows, films and Romwe. Her surprise was that she used to rock climb. For our shots she is wearing a COS dress and shirt, Office shoes, Burberry watch and is carrying a Longchamp bag.

Out and about....second crossing

From Fashionistable
This is the second time I had crossed the street because I saw Marian. You can see the 1st result here. I didnt realise it was her again until I was right over her. She had been rummaging in her bag and all I saw was the flurry of feathers. Her skirt is from Lucy in Disguise which is were she works. She made the head piece herself. She says her style is casual and that she doesn't really buy things, they just come to her. When I asked her to tell me something surprising about herself she said she is just one big surprise all over.

Out and about....sunshine after the rain

Anabel told me her friends make fun of her and see it as a bit of cliche to be a dancer and a model. Do you think there may be just a tiny wee bit of jealousy going on here? Her dancing pedigree is amazing. She started her career in ballet but is now a contemporary dancer. At the moment she is part of the cast of Dirty Dancing. She is also part of Matthew Bourne's company. When I asked her about London she said "there is so much to do here, you can never be bored." Her days are filled with castings, modeling assignments, art galleries and when we met she was going off to see a show. Her style influence is her Mum whom she says is her style icon. She said her Mum likes layering and floaty floor length clothing think Biba and Ossie Clark. For her own look today she is wearing a hat from Christys, which was a present from her boyfriend and her scarf belongs to him. (He is also a blogger, you can check out his blog, Maketh the Man here.) Anabel's coat was from Moss Bros and used to belong to her Mum when she was a child. The shirt was given to her by a friend. At this part the conversation she said, looks like I have been dressed by everyone else. However, she bought her skirt when she was in Australia as part of a 3 month world tour she was on with Matthew Bourne. Her socks were from a market, she thought Spitalfields, shoes are Office and her bag is Prada.
