Out and about....Woodstock St

From Fashionistable
From Fashionistable
Faron is a manager of All Saints and unsurprisingly she is head to toe in the brand, except for the Longchamp bag she is carrying. She told me she is a massive art fan and loves Damien Hurst, she also loves music and going to gigs. I have to say her tattoos were amazing and so beautifully done. Her love of art has flowed over onto her arms. Farons tattoos are very traditional, old school based on delicate, intricate gypsy art. The colour is added to make it all more feminine. The owl is her favourite animal and she has hidden the name of her favoutite football team in the same tattoo. Spitalfields is Faron's favourite place in London. Style wise she told me she doesn't follow anyone but herself and wears what she likes to wear from Rock and Roll to feminine chic. After she left I noticed we were on Woodstock St which I thought was very apt with her love of music.

Vicky is from Shang Dong in China and is an artist. When I saw her she had a lovely air of happiness about her. It was great to watch. When I asked her the questions I ask it became evident why. Her style influence she says is spirit energy. She likes to imagine the city as a forest. For Vicky meditation is essential, especially under a tree and she says it influences your energy more and helps you get back to nature.. Her 2 favourite places in London are the British Museum and the SOAS Library. The 1st drawing is one of Vicky's artworks (she doesnt have her work online)the 2nd is one of her boyfriends which she sent in her 1st email to me after we met. There is a great feeling of movement in it. Vicky is wearing a hat and coat she bought at Barnet Fair, her boots are Kenzo, necklace All Saints, bag COS and her umbrella is from China.

Charlotte is a 2nd year student at Farnham and was on work placement in London when we met. When I asked about her style she told me she was Gothy but has toned it down a bit. Very pretty Goth I say. She also said she never wears jeans. Her favourite places in London are Brick Lane and Soho. Charlotte's surprise for us is that she used to Ice Skate in Ice Skating shows. Her jacket is from All Saints (I would love one the same), skirt is Jack Wills which she is wearing with a petticoat (she only wears shirts with petticoats), top H&M, boots DMs and she is carrying a Ferragamo bag.

Out and about....Oxford Circus

From Fashionistable
Karolina is originally from Poland and has been living in the UK for 5 years now and is a store manager for The Sequal. She says her style influence is the streets "What I see on the street reflects what I wear. Oxford and Regent Street are the biggest catwalks in the world. It is sometimes even better than looking at magazines." Her favourite places in London are Greenwich Park in the summer and the pubs in the winter (that last bit was said tounge in cheek). And her surprise is that she says she can't cook. Karolina's scarf is from TKMaxx, cardy is from Benetton, shirt is Topshop, leggings are American Apparel, boots are All Saints and bag is Sisley.

Julia is from Moscow and is in the UK studying fashion, media and communication at the London College of Fashion She told me that her style depends on her mood. Sometimes romantic, rock, punk and brutal, depends. Her surprise was that she plays base guitar and used to be in a rock band called Deadly Skills. Today her glasses, top and skirt are all from Topshop. Her coat and bag are from ASOS, scarf is All Saints and boots are vintage from Paris.

Out and about....liquorice allsorts

From Fashionistable
Nicola made me smile when I asked her about her style inspirations. She told me that there are a lot of things going on in her head. That London inspires her a lot and said you can be whatever character you want to be on what ever day you choose. When I asked her what character she is today she said "today I am a liquorice allsort. The coconut one with the black bit in the middle". Her favourite place in London is crossing Waterloo bridge on a Sunday. I so understand this, it is an amazing place to be at the best of times as you can see a lot of the big London landmarks from here. Her surprise for us is that she says, she is not cool really as she is really into musicals. The favourites at the moment being Westside story and Oliver. Nicola's cardy  is from Miss Selfridge, she bought her skirt in a car boot sale in Battersea, boots are Topshop and belt All Saints.

Remember there are 5 days left to the 1st Filofax (Red Chameleon) giveaway draw. To enter you must follow me here on Blogger and on Bloglovin and let me know when you have done both. Good Luck.

Out and about....Mondrian inspiration

From Fashionistable
How could Charlotte's shirt not catch your eye. It is bold and bright and is by Moschino. Moschino's motto was "fashion should be fun and should send a message". I think he would have felt this shirt lived up to his motto. Charlotte works for Modus PR. She told me that she did design at Kingston Uni and just sort of fell into PR which has been an ongoing internship. She likes East London best saying that the night life is good. Surprisingly she says she did the mini marathon when she was at school. The rest of her outfit is made up of jacket from All Saints, shorts from Topshop, shoes by Jeffery Campbell and a COS bag.
